Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 17, 2026
1. Introduction
VYRA ("we", "our", "the app") is built with a user-first, data-ownership philosophy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, why we need it, how it is used, and how you stay in full control at all times.
2. Core Principle: Your Data Is All Yours
VYRA does not store your images on our own servers. All uploaded or generated images that you choose to post are stored in your own Google Drive, under your Google account. You remain the owner of your data.
3. How VYRA Works With Your Data
VYRA follows a clear workflow:
- Input reference: You select or upload a reference image.
- Prompt extraction: VYRA analyzes the reference and generates a detailed text prompt.
- Remix: You may request image generation/remix using that prompt via APIs.
- Post or download: You can download the generated image or post it.
- Store & share: When you post, the image is stored in your Google Drive and shared via a Google Drive public link ("anyone with the link can view").
4. Google Account & Authentication
VYRA uses Google Sign-In to authenticate you securely. We may access basic profile information such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Profile image
This information is used to identify your account, associate posts with you, and help prevent abuse. We do not access your emails or contacts, and we do not track your activity outside the app.
5. Google Drive Usage
VYRA uses Google Drive only to store images that you choose to post. We use the restricted Drive scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file
This scope allows VYRA to access only the files it creates.
We do not:
- Browse your existing Drive folders
- Read unrelated files
- Modify or delete files we did not create
When you publish a post, we upload the image to a dedicated folder (e.g., "VYRA Uploads") in your Google Drive and adjust permissions so that "anyone with the link can view" the file. This is what allows other users to see your posts. You can revoke this access at any time by changing sharing settings or deleting the file from your Google Drive.
6. Image Generation APIs
VYRA may use third-party or Google APIs for image generation and remix when you explicitly request it (e.g., "Remix" or "Generate" actions). These APIs receive:
- The text prompt generated from your reference
- Optional temporary context for the reference image
API usage is tied to your authorized account configuration where applicable. We do not secretly trigger image generation in the background without your interaction.
7. Public Posts and Visibility
Only images you choose to post are made visible to other users. Public visibility is handled through Google Drive's official sharing mechanism using "anyone with the link can view." Other users do not gain direct access to your Drive; they only see the image file you chose to share.
8. Data Storage Overview
- Uploaded & generated images (posted): Stored in your Google Drive.
- Metadata (prompts, timestamps, post IDs): Stored in our database to operate the app.
- Authentication data: Managed through Google Sign-In / OAuth.
9. Data Control & Deletion
You can control your data in several ways:
- Delete posted images directly from your Google Drive.
- Change or revoke "anyone with the link" sharing.
- Revoke VYRA's access from your Google Account security settings.
- Uninstall the app at any time.
Once access is revoked, VYRA can no longer access your Drive files or create new ones.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security practices such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and OAuth-based authentication. We do not store your Google credentials in plain text.
11. Children's Privacy
VYRA is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
